Have you ever had that feeling where you look in your closet and you say to yourself, "I literally have no clothes!!!"? Well that is what I am feeling at the moment. I walk into my closet, I look at my piles of shorts and I realize that I don't like shorts anymore. If anyone knows me then you know that I go through phases where I am obsessed with different things and then I get sick of it. This mainly has to do with the fact that I am just a passionate person, so when I start thinking that I need that perfect pair of black frayed jean shorts, I buy 10 pairs. I literally go all in. But fashion is not the only thing that I do this with. I am 100% devoted to anything that I put my mind too, and for the most part that's a good thing. Except when it comes to clothes.
I have had to learn how to "pace" myself when shopping. I love to shop. I could spend hours and hours just going to different stores. Unfortunately, no one wants to shop with me because I take so long. So I usually resort to online shopping. Now don't get me wrong- I love online shopping, but getting to touch the clothes, try on the shoes, and interact with people is something that I love about shopping in stores. The one negative thing about going to malls and boutiques is that I tend to impulse buy. What I mean by this is that I buy something because I like it just ok and I want to prove to myself that my hours of shopping were successful. With online shopping I put things in my cart, save them for days, and constantly look over them. I have become a lot more responsible with my money, time, and shopping experiences when shopping online. Sometimes I find stuff online and then try to find it in the store. If I can't find what I am looking for, I sometimes tell myself that it's not meant to be.
Now you might be thinking, "why did she just totally go off on a rant about how she loves online and not-online shopping?" Well, I have a reason. I wanted to let you guys in on how I am feeling and how I deal with the "no clothes" nightmare that every girl faces. I am gonna be honest with y'all: having a blog is a lot of pressure. I want to please you guys and really help you with finding yourself, your confidence, and your style. So now that I am trying to be a fashion blogger, I feel like I am letting you guys down when I walk into my closet and feel like I have nothing to wear.
But here is the thing: I do have things to wear. I have a lot of things to wear. Some of my clothes still have the tags on them. So when you get the very feeling that I am experiencing right now, don't go on a shopping rage; just look in your closet and look at what you haven't worn in a long time (or have never worn), and WEAR IT. I promise you, you have clothes.
Below are only some of the things that are sitting in my online shopping carts at the moment. If you click on the picture, it will bring you to the webpage! If y'all ever wanna buy something that you see on my blog, I will always have links attached:)
This model paired this midi jumper with some sneakers, but I would throw on some wedges and totally transform the outfit.
These wedges are under $50!!!! And they are so cute. Plus, they would compliment the jumpsuit above perfectly.
Okay guys, I can understand if you skimmed through everything above... but you need to read this. One of my favorite bloggers just posted this. It is a DIY pom pom beach bag. This is a total MUST HAVE for your beach vacations. I mean, come on, just look at how cute!!
Here is the link to the DIY http://www.southerncurlsandpearls.com/2016/06/DIY-pom-pom-tote-tassel-beach-bag.html.
Below are some more summer romper/jumper and shoe choices if you don't like the ones that I picked out:)
